Woman's Body Found at Stamford Gym

Workers of an L.A. Fitness on Sixth Street in the city discovered the body of an elderly patron in one of their changing rooms Monday, Stamford Police Capt. Richard Conklin said Tuesday.

The woman, described as a 71-year-old Stamford resident, had apparently gone for a swim earlier in the day and retired to a private changing room, Conklin described.

Investigators said the incident being considered a death by natural causes as the patron reportedly had some ongoing medical issues.

Two Stamford men were arrested on first-degree criminal trespass charges stemming from the removal of construction debris from a Caroline Place residence in Greenwich without building department permits.

According to a Greenwich police report, Inmer B. Lucero, 25, of 122 Richmond Hill Ave., told police he was ordered by his boss to remove the debris. However, police confirmed with the Greenwich Building Department that a stop-work order had been issued for the site until necessary permits were obtained.

Lucero and his boss, identified as Kai M. Young, 46, of 81 Pine Hill Ave., were both charged just before 1 p.m. Sept. 18. Each posted a $250 bond and were scheduled to appear Sept. 26 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

Other Arrests

Mark R. Borsey, 48, of Waterbury Ave., was charged Monday afternoon with second-degree breach of peaceand interference with an officer/resisting. 

Jismin Godoy, 27, of Texas Rd. in Longview, TX, was charged withRisk of injury to a child and third-degree assault.

Awildo Rivero, 52, of Quintard Ter., was charged early Tuesday with possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia.
