Stamford Woman Faces Charges from 2012 Police Chase

A female driver who Greenwich Police say engaged officers in a pursuit back in June 2012 has been arrested on several charges related to the incident.

According to a police report, Mavina Moore, 29, of 7 Fourth St., Stamford, was arrested June 16, about two years after she "engaged in a police pursuit after an officer had attempted to perform a motor vehicle stop" on Chestnut Street in the Byram neighborhood of Greenwich.

Police had obtained an arrest warrant charging Moore with failure to wear a seatbelt, failure to display plate/sticker, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, failure to obey a stop sign, reckless driving and engaging police in a pursuit.

Moore was held in lieu of $500 bond. She is scheduled to appear July 3 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
