Woman Arrested for Urinating in Front of Stamford Gov't Center

arrested a 51-year-old Stamford resident Thursday afternoon after numerous employees and passers-by witnessed her urinating in front of the Stamford Government Center.

According to police, a complainant called the department after Gwendolyn McBurrows of 28 Fairfield Avenue was seen pulling down her pants and urinating in front of the building in full view of people and cars passing by. When police arrived, numerous employees standing in front the building identified McBurrows, who was leaning against the building and smoking a cigarette.

Officers noticed McBurrows' slurred speech and inability to stand and concluded that she was intoxicated. They also found small bottles of liquor in her possession and on the ground around her. McBurrows told police the she couldn't remember if she urinated or why she was even at the Government Center.

McBurrows was arrested for second-degree breach of peace and public indecency and was released on a promise to appear in court. She is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 17.

Perrin Avs, 43, of 954 Shippan Ave., Stamford, was arrested Friday for violation of a protective order, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

Floyd Baskett, 23, of 596 South Pacific St., Stamford, was arrested Thursday for illegaly carrying a pistol without a permit.

Christopher Bautista, 23, of 88 Lafayette St., Stamford, was arrested Thursday for third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace.

Gary Butler, 56, of 597 South Pacific St., Stamford, was arrested Thursday for failure to verify an address.

Nabor Espinal, 32, of 264 Cove Road, Stamford, was arrested Thursday for failure to appear in court in the second-degree.

Michael Karukas, 48, of 42 Sylvan Knoll Road, Stamford, was arrested Thursday for disorderly conduct and inteferring with an emergency call.

Sasha King, 18, of 23 Connecitcut Ave., Stamford, was arrested Thursday for fourth-degree larceny, four counts of third-degree forgery and 27 counts of charging over $500 on a revoked credit card.

Tiffany Knight, 33, of 236 Connecticut Ave., Stamford, was arrested Thursday for sixth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit a crime and three counts of a risk of injury to a child.

Peggy Peeler, 40, of 275 Greenwich Ave., Stamford, was arrested Thursday for sixth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit a crim and three counts of risk of injury to a child.

Kleber Pesantes, 43, of 212 Wardwell St., Stamford was arrested Thursday for disorderly conduct and risk of injury to a child.

Markquan Price, 20, of 97 Virgil St., Stamford, was arrested Thursday for two counts of third-degree assault, creating a public disturbance and first-degree reckless endangerment.

James Rozsa, 18. of 185 Interlaken Road, Stamford, was arrested Thursday for possession of a controlled substance, sale of a controlled substance and operation of a drug factory.
