White Plains Male Arrested In Stamford For ID Theft, Credit Fraud

The Stamford Police blotter for Dec. 9-11. All information is supplied by the Stamford Police Department, does not include convictions. The SPD blotter does not presume guilt or innocence.

SPD has arrested Sean O'Neil French, 35, White Plains, for various ID theft-related offenses.

"On Friday night around 9 o'clock p.m., there was a report from a Macy's loss prevention about credit card fraud," SPD's Sgt. Moran stated.  "It was a man and a woman...they were being monitored."

According to Moran, a manager at Macy's became suspicious of the couple after the female had approached him with a request to use her "account" even though she didn't have a card on her. Although she was allowed to shop with the ID she presented, the manager called Macy's loss prevention, who called the police as the suspects left the store.
