I-95 Reopened After Crash In Fairfield
Accident in southbound lanes resulted in vehicle bursting into flames.
A motor vehicle accident on Interstate 95 Saturday afternoon blocked the southbound lanes in Fairfield between exits 24 and 23.
Reported shortly before 3:30 p.m., the accident resulted in a vehicle catching fire, and Fairfield firefighters said an occupant went into cardiac arrest.
Fire department reports from the scene said two persons were taken to a hospital.
