Two Men Charged in Alleged Stabbing on Orchard Street

The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries; the argument started over a cell phone, according to police.

 

Two city men were arrested on Thursday after a third man reported that he was stabbed during an argument over a cell phone, according to Stamford police.

Sgt. Paul Vaccaro told Patch that when police arrived, the victim reported that two men allegedly stabbed him during the argument were inside of 29 Orchard Street. They were identified as Bladimer Rivas, 34, of 57 Orchard Street, Stamford, and Jose Carrillo, 38, of 58 Frederick Street, Stamford.

The victim was transported to Stamford Hospital with non-life threatening injuries and underwent surgery, Vacarro said. It was unclear what part of the body the victim injured.

Rivas was charged with first-degree assault, carrying a dangerous weapon and second-degree breach of peace. His bond was set at $5,000. Carrillo was charged with second-degree breach of peace. His bond was set at $1,000.
