Two Intoxicated Stamford Men Beaten, Robbed in Separate Incidents

One victim was attacked on the South End of the city, while the other was attacked on the West Side.

Two intoxicated men were beaten and robbed in two separate, unrelated incidents on Monday, according to the Stamford Advocate.

One victim, who is 23-years-old,  told police that while he was walking home from on Monday night at around 11:30 p.m., he was having a friendly chat with two men. But then, near the corner of Pacific and Dock streets, the victim said that they turned on him, punched him and took his wallet, which contained $180 in cash.

The victim described the two men as between the ages of 18 and 24 with one wearing a white shirt, blue jeans, red hat and short dreadlocks and the other wearing a black shirt and black pants with shorter hair. According to Sgt. Simon Blanc, the two were last seen running on Pacific Street and then east on Market Street. The victim, who appear intoxicated, was treated at for minor injuries.

At 12:52 a.m., near the corner of Smith and Mill River streets, another man flagged down a police car and told the officers that he was attacked  by three men from behind as he was walking home from on Stillwater Avenue. The 43-year-old victim told police that the men dragged him to the ground, kicked him and stole his wallet, which contained about $900 in cash, and his cell phone.

The victim told the officers that the men that attacked him were in their 30s and that one was wearing a long-sleeved blue shirt.
