Stamford Police think alcohol was a factor in a serious motor vehicle accident that occurred late Friday at the intersection of Canal St. and North State St.
According to police a Ford Focus operated by an 18 year-old Greenwich resident was traveling west on North State St. at about 11:40 p.m. when it collided with a Mitsubishi Galant operated by a 28 year-old Stamford resident traveling north on Canal St.
Police said two passengers in Mitsubishi were transported to Norwalk Hospital with critical injuries. In addition both operators were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
