Two Adults, One Child Injured in Long Ridge Road Accident

The three were sent to Stamford Hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries, according to police.

 

Two adults and a three year-old child were injured Tuesday afternoon after their car collided with another vehicle that was backing out of a driveway on Long Rige Road, according to Sgt. Bill Hnatuk.

A vehicle was "inching out" of a driveway on Mountain Wood Road onto Long Ridge Road at 5:30 p.m. while the second vehicle was going northbound, Sgt. Hnatuk said. The first vehicle collided with the second, which then swerved and struck a CL&P utility pole.

The three individuals in the second vehicle were sent to Stamford Hospital as a precautionary measure and for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the second vehicle was charged with operating a vehicle without a license, while the driver of the first vehicle was charged with faiiure to grant right of way.
