Suspects Allegedly Pull Gun in Right-of-Way Dispute at Stamford Mall

Stamford Police searched he area for the suspects, to no avail.

Authorities are searching for two men who allegedly pulled a gun on a father and son as the left the mall in Stamford on Monday, police said Tuesday.

A man and his son were exiting the Stamford Town Center onto Atlantic Street when two males allegedly walked in front of the vehicle as it pulled out, forcing it to stop, police said.

According to authorities, words were exchanged by the parties over who had the right of way in the situation. Police said the younger victim exited his vehicle and began walking towards the two males, described by police as a white male and a dark-skinned black or Hispanic male, both in their 20s.

The black male allegedly pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the man from the vehicle, who retreated to the vehicle, police said. The victim then called 911 on a cell phone. The suspects reportedly spotted the victim on the phone and took off runnin towards Tresser Boulevard, police said.

Police canvassed the area with the victims in tow, which proved fruitless.

Other Arrests

Dex Garcel Fields, 27, of Perry Ave. in Norwalk, was charged early Tuesday with possession of narcotics and sale of certain illegal drugs.

Jose Luis Garcia, 47, of Montauk Dr., was charged Monday afternoon with second-degree assault. 

Alexander Perkins, 20, of Moore St., was charged Saturday afternoon with third-degree stalking, second-degree unlawful restraint, second-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree breach of peace, second-degree harrassment, second-degree strangulation, second-degree and third-degree assault and two counts third-degree criminal mischief.
