Suspect Charged In Stamford For September Parking Lot Shooting

Michael J. Hill, 21, Stamford, was arrested at 9:45 p.m. Thursday evening and charged with shooting a male victim on Sept. 19, 2011.

The shooting occurred at the rear of 162 Stillwater Ave. at 10:07 p.m., according to Sgt. Moran of the SPD. Witnesses later stated that they heard one loud 'pop', and saw the suspect flee down Stillwater Ave. on a black mountain bike.

"Multiple cars responded," Moran said."The victim had sustained one gunshot wound to his lower abdomen. It was reported that the suspect was a black male with a black hooded sweatshirt."

The suspect was also wearing a black bandana that covered his face, SPD's arrest report states.

"The victim was taken to Stamford Hospital, and he's still recovering," Moran said.

SPD detectives arrested Hill at an undisclosed location after a lengthy investigation into the shooting. Two male juveniles were also arrested and charged as co-conspirators in the shooting. Hill has not yet posted bail.

More Local Arrests

Kenneth Eger, 19, Stamford, was arrested Thursday and charged with breaking town ordinances.

Richard Ilse, 57, Stamford, was arrested Thursday and charged with disorderly conduct.

Marion R. Johnson, 51, Stamford, was arrested Thursday and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of narcotics.

Veldee Jones, 58, 660 Atlantic Street, Stamford, was arrested Thursday and charged with violation of probation.
