Stamford Police Charge Burglars for Connecticut Crime Spree

The Stamford Police Department have charged alleged burglars Bernard McAllister and Mark Missino in connection with four Stamford robberies that took place between Mar. 2010 and Nov. 2010.

Stamford became the latest of to charge Bernard McAllister, 40, and Mark Missino, 44, on several counts of burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, and larceny.

McAllister was charged on Tuesday "on the strength of four warrants for four burglaries," SPD Property Crime Unit's Sgt. Pete DiSpagna.  "Mark Missino was his co-conspirator. Both are incarcerated in the state of CT for a two-year string of burglaries."

Upon McAllister and Missino's capture, they were reported to have had over $750,000 in stolen property from an estimated 88 robberies.

According to SPD, the alleged thieves robbed the following Stamford locations:

  • January 16, 2010 - A home Davenport Farm Ln. West
  • March 7, 2010 - A home on June Road
  • November 14, 2010 - A home on Chestnut Hill Road
  • November 14, 2010 - A home on Deepwood Road

McAllister has been in the custody of the Department of Corrections since November, when he was arrested in CT after Greenwich Police were able to locate much of McAllister's most-recent stolen goods, the SPD states.

"Since that time, different departments across the state have been arresting them for different charges," DiSpagna said.

A SPD charging document states that McAllister listed his address as 47 Dixon Ct. in Elkton, MD, but SPD states that McAllister's address is 13 Nora St. in Lisbon, CT. SPD lists Missino's address as 92 Shore Road in Waterford, CT.

McAllister was charged with sixteen crimes, including two counts of second degree burglary and two counts of first degree larceny. He being held on a $50,000 bond per warrant, which he has not paid.

McAllister will appear in court August 16th.
