Stamford Police Charge 3 with Firing BB Gun into Air

Police said the suspects weren't firing at anything in particular.

Stamford Police charged three men with firing a BB gun into the air at nothing in particular, authorities said Wednesday.

According to police, officers were dispatched to 121 Towne Street just before 6:30 p.m. Tuesday for reports of a group of men firing a rifle into the air.

Upon arrival, police said they found three men at the scene, identified as Gustavo Garduno, 19, of East Cedar Street in Kannet, PA, Jorge Valle Garduno, 21, of East Evergreen Street in West Grove, PA, and Francisco Marquez-Ortega, 21, of Lillian Street.

Police detained the group and recovered a BB gun from the trunk of a nearby vehicle belonging to one of the suspects, they said. Authorities said the group was not firing the weapon at anything specific.

All three parties were charged with second-degree breach of peace and carrying a dangerous weapon. Each was held on a $1,000 bond.
