Stamford Man Faces Felony Assault Charges

Stamford police say they arrested a 42-year-old city man at 11:37 p.m. Saturday following a domestic incident that saw him throw away a complainant’s cellphone in front of children.

Jerald Gilchrist, of 112 Westwood Road, was charged with risk of injury to children, third-degree assault, third-degree criminal mischief, second-degree threatening, disorderly conduct and interfering with a 911 call.

He was held on $10,000 bond and scheduled to appear March 19 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

Police arrested Danny Orellana, 19, of 38 Allview Ave., Norwalk, at 6:54 p.m. Sunday and charged him with two counts of felony first-degree assault, and carrying a dangerous weapon.

Details of the arrest were not immediately available from the Stamford Police Department’s Detective Division.

Hildania Coste-Olivo, 36, of 820 Main St., was arrested at 8:55 p.m. Saturday and charged with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny.

Police arrested Angela DeVita, 18, of 123 Gary Road, at 12:08 a.m. Sunday and charged her with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Warren Diggs, 46, of 101 Summer St., was arrested at 11:19 p.m. Saturday and charged with disorderly conduct.

Jorge Alberto Fernandez, 26, of Meadow Park Avenue North, was arrested at 11:32 p.m. Sunday and charged with four counts of failure to register as a sex offender.

Police arrested Carlos Guzman, 36, of 130 Stillwater Ave., at 1:25 a.m. Sunday and charged him with second-degree criminal mischief and creating a public disturbance.

Johnny Morena, 29, of 47 Virgil St., was arrested at 10:31 p.m. Sunday and charged him with failure to verify his address.

Police arrested Christopher Quinlan, 28, of 14 Barmore Drive, at 11:15 p.m. Saturday and charged him with disorderly conduct.

Larry Donell Simms, 43, of 197 Main St., was arrested at 1:06 p.m. Saturday and charged with third-degree larceny.

Police arrested Aruna Thammaneni, 39, of 180 Broad St., at 7:18 p.m. Sunday and charged the individual with sixth-degree larceny.

Isaias Villa-Tolentino, 22, of 168 Stillwater Ave., was arrested at 2:20 a.m. Monday and charged with third-degree assault and creating a public disturbance.
