Stamford Man Faces Drug Charges After Police Called to Hotel

Stamford police called to the Summer St. Holiday Inn Express for a city man allegedly becoming unruly in the lobby reported finding drugs in his hotel room, police said Thursday.

A 27-year-old Stamford man was arrested Wednesday morning after police allegedly found drugs in his hotel room, authorities announces Thursday morning.

According to authorities, Eric James Williams, of the first block of Holcomb Ave., came down to the lobby of the Holiday Inn Express he was staying at in the 2700 block of Summer St. complaining that people in his room had taken his keys and money.

Williams became increasingly uncooperative, according to police, so Holiday Inn workers locked his room and contacted authorities.

Upon arrival, police said they went to Williams room and found it to be empty of other people. Police said they did, however, allegedly find crushed pills and drug paraphernalia in the room.

Williams was taken into custody and police said they then allegedly found a syringe and pills that tested positive for opiates in a pill bottle with someone else's name on it.

Williams was held on a $2,500 bond. He faces charges of possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia and breach of peace.

Other Arrests

Jerry Arnel Berrouet, 29, of the 100 block of Franklin St., was charged Wednesday afternoon with breach of peace, violation of a protective order and interfering with an officer/resisting.

Michael Fagan, 29, of Clinton Ave., was charged Wednesday evening with larceny.

Greg Keith McKeithen, 25, of the 100 block of Lawn Ave., was charged Wednesday night with assault.

Hector Olivia-Marroquin, 38, of of the first block of Leeds St., was charged early Thursday morning with disorderly conduct.

Lynne Marie Salley, 22, of the first block of Durant St., was charged Wednesday afternoon with larceny.
