Stamford Man Charged in Rape of Greenwich Juvenile

Stamford's Diego Arboleda is being held in Greenwich for the alleged rape of a female juvenile.

A 43-year-old Stamford man has been arrested and charged in connection with the rape of Greenwich juvenile on Saturday.

According to Greenwich Police, Diego Arboleda, of 26 Webb Ave, Stamford, was arrested after the assault was reported shortly after 4 a.m. Saturday. Police said Arboleda was identified by victim who reported the assault took place earlier Saturday. Police would not release further details about the incident including the age of the victim.

Arboleda was charged with 2nd-degree sexual assault; possession of marijuana and two counts of risk of injury to a minor. He was held in lieu of $500,000 bond. A court date was unavailable.

The victim was treated at Greenwich Hospital and released to the custody of her parents.
