Stamford Man Assaulted with Eggs

Stamford Police were dispatched to the area of Richmond Hill Avenue and Taylor Street Wednesday night following reports of five or six males attacking another man. According to authorities, a parking enforcement officer spotted the group of males attacking the victim.

The 56-year-old Stamford victim had reportedly been riding his bike at around 9 p.m. Wednesday, October 30, when the suspects, all described as being in their late teens and early 20s and wearing dark clothing, punched the man in the face, knocked him off his bike, then began throwing eggs at him.

The victim sustained an abrasion to his nose and cheekbone, police said. According to police, the suspects had attempted to go through the man's pockets before being scared off by the arrival of police officers.

When police showed up, all the suspects took off on foot. A canvas of the area was unsuccessful in finding the suspects.
