A 23-year-old man was arrested on Thursday after he allegedly had a sexual relationship with a 14 year-old girl, according to Sgt. Josephy Kennedy.
The victim's father told police that on July 23, he had woken up in the middle of the night to check on his daughter, but discovered that she wasn't in the house, Sgt. Kennedy said. He then went outside and found his daughter hiding in an alleyway. Kennedy said that she then admitted to having a relationship with Oliva Cesar of 140 Lockwood Avenue.
According to Kennedy, Cesar allegedly met the victim through Facebook and the two kept in touch via text messaging before meeting in person. When the two wanted to see each other, Cesar would pick the victim up in his car and then send her home in a cab, Kennedy said.
Cesar was charged with second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a child. He posted a $50,000 bond.
