A 21-year-old Stamford man has been charged Monday morning in the statutory rape of a 15-year-old girl, police announced Wednesday.
According to Lt. Diedrich Hohn, a 15-year-old girl informed her West Hill High School social worker in November that she was pregnant and that the father was her 19-year-old boyfriend.
Hohn said the school contacted the police department and a subsequent investigation into the situation revealed Wilson D. Laynes-Orellana, of Rose Park Ave., was the father and that he was, in fact, 21 years old.
Hohn said the suspect allegedly gave a statement to the police that he'd had sex with the victim on two occasions. He was placed under arrest Monday at 10 a.m.
Laynes-Orellana was charged with two counts each of second-degree sexual assault (consensual, under age) and illegal sexual contact with a victim under the age of 16 years old.
