Stamford Man Arrested for 2010 Robbery in East Norwalk

A 21-year-old Stamford man surrendered to Norwalk police Thursday in connection with a October 2010 home burglary in East Norwalk.

Police gave this account of the incident:

A resident of 9 Carol Dr. reported a robbery in the early afternoon of Oct. 18. Meanwhile, residents nearby on East Avenue reported a suspicious-looking man in the area. Police were dispatched to the locations where neighbors reported two men walking away from Carol Drive.

One of the suspects, Jamal Hill, 23, of 12 Baxter Dr., was apprehended after another robbery was reported at 20 St. John St. Some of the stolen items were found in Hill’s home and stuffed in a pillow case stashed under a car at Willow and Tierney streets.

Latent fingerprints were taken from the Carol Drive home and sent to the state crime lab for analysis. In April, the prints were identified as belonging to Terrence White21, of 156 Bonner St., Stamford. An arrest warrant was issued and he turned himself into authorities. He was charged with burglary, larceny and criminal mischief, and is being held on $50,000 bond.

Hill currently is being held on $180,000 bond at the Bridgeport Correctional Facility, according to state records.
