Stamford Man Allegedly Threatens Store Owner, Employee with Knife

Police said he denied being in possession of a knife before they patted him down and discovered it on his person.

Officers dispatched to a convenience store in the 200 block of Atlantic Street for reports of a man threatening employees with a knife came upon two males standing in the doorway arguing, police said Wednesday.

The owner of the store and an employee each stated to officers that the man, identified by police as Harry Bryson, 26, of W. Broad Street, arguing with them had previously been armed with a knife, police said.

According to authorities, the owner told them the man came in and began cursing at the employee. Police said when the owner intervened and tried to calm the man down, the employee pointed out the man was pointing a knife at the owner.

Police said the owner told them he continued to try and calm the man down and the man continued to curse at them and it was at this point police arrived.

When asked if he was in possession of a knife, Bryson allegedly said no. Police said they conducted a pat-down of the suspect for their own safety and discovered the man to be in possession of a black folding knife.

Bryson was charged with second-degree threatening, creating a public disturbance and carrying a dangerous weapon. He was held on a $10,000 bond and scheduled to make an appearance in court Wednesday afternoon.

Michelle Aboullait, 31, of Kirkhan Pl., was charged Tuesday afternoon with risk of injury to a child.

Maxine Brivett, 53, of Atlantic St., was charged Tuesday night with failure to appear.

Dex Garcel Fields, 27, of Perry Ave. in Norwalk, was charged Tuesday night with second-degree breach of peace.

Mark Johnson, 50, of Hudson Ave. in Albany, NY, was charged Tuesday afternoon with insurance fraud, third-degree larceny and falsely reporting the theft of a motor vehicle.

Joseph Moise Larose, 72, of Durant St. was charged Wednesday morning with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

William Mimms, 52, of Forest St., was charged early Wednesday morning with Falsely reporting the theft of a motor vehicle, possession of narcotics and not properly obeying traffic control signals.

Jeffrey Scott Nielsen, 38, of Fair St. in Norwalk, was charged early Wednesday morning with possession of narcotics and failure to obey traffic control signals.

Yolanda Roasario, 34, of Harbor St., was charged Tuesday afternoon with sixth-degree larceny.

Brandon N. Roberts, 28, of Strawberry Hill Ave., was charged Tuesday afternoon with violation of probation.
