Officers dispatched to a convenience store in the 200 block of Atlantic Street for reports of a man threatening employees with a knife came upon two males standing in the doorway arguing, police said Wednesday.
The owner of the store and an employee each stated to officers that the man, identified by police as Harry Bryson, 26, of W. Broad Street, arguing with them had previously been armed with a knife, police said.
According to authorities, the owner told them the man came in and began cursing at the employee. Police said when the owner intervened and tried to calm the man down, the employee pointed out the man was pointing a knife at the owner.
Police said the owner told them he continued to try and calm the man down and the man continued to curse at them and it was at this point police arrived.
