Stamford Man Accused of Making Advances on Girlfriend's Cousin

Arrest information is supplied by the Stamford Police Department. It does not indicate convictions.

Stamford police arrested a 29-year-old city man who is accused of brandishing a handgun after his girlfriend's cousin, an 18-year-old woman, reported that he'd made inappropriate sexual contact with her.

Juan Morales, of 10 Meadowpark Avenue, was arrested at 3:18 a.m. Friday and charged with fourth-degree sexual assault, second-degree threatening, carrying a dangerous weapon and third-degree assault.

According to police, Morales is accused of staring at the cousin "in a weird way" and making inappropriate advances on her while she slept at his own girlfriend's house on Wednesday, then fetching a handgun and threatening the 18-year-old's boyfriend when he arrived at the scene. Morales allegedly kicked his own girlfriend in the backside as she exited the house, having learned from her cousin of the accusations levelled at Morales. Police say they were unable to locate a handgun in the house.
