Stamford Man Accused of Jumping into Bed with Female Firefighter

The man reportedly told police he was "horsing around," police said.

arrested a 19-year-old city man by warrant late Tuesday for allegedly jumping into a bed with a female firefighter at Belltown Fire Department.

Cody Thomas O’Brien, of 283 Sundance Road, was charged with fourth-degree sexual assault.

According to Stamford police, O’Brien said he was just joking around when he joined the woman in a bed at the . The incident occurred Feb. 20, according to police records.

“He thinks of it more like a horseplay incident,” said Stamford Police Lt. Diedrich Hohn. “She did not take it as horseplay.”

O’Brien was released after promising to appear in state Superior Court in Stamford.
