Stamford Male Charged With Assault and Strangulation of Spouse

Walter N. Vasquez-Ramirez, 35, 26 High Street, Stamford, was arrested Monday and charged with third degree assault, disorderly conduct, and second degree strangulation for allegedly attacking his wife.

"Ramirez and his wife had an altercation that was verbal and turned physical," SPD's Officer Vaccaro said. He struck her several times. She refused medical treatment."

Ramirez is being held on $5,000 bail.

Keon L. Beatty, 24, 34 Raymond Street, Stamford, was arrested Monday and charged with third degree assault, second degree threatening, and breach of peace.

"Beatty and the victim met on Cove Road, and had an argument about a past sexual encounter," Vaccaro said. "Beatty chased the victim down and attacked them."

Patrick Blake, 50 Forest Street, Stamford, was arrested Monday for illegal operation of a motor vehicle under suspension and failure to grant the right of way.

Derryn Dyson, 31, 26 Remington Street, Stamford, was arrested Monday for failure to appear.

Vinson Ford, 38, 57 West Ave., Stamford, was arrested Monday for failure to appear.

Fritz Mathon, 57, 1323 Stratford Ave., Bridgeport, was arrested Monday and charged with three counts of third degree larceny and two counts of second degree forgery.
