A 29-year-old city woman faces felony charges after she and a boyfriend allegedly beat up her ex as the latter arrived to work at Stamford Hospital while their 5-year-old child looked on, according to .

Nicole Davis, of 242 Connecticut Ave., was charged with first-degree robbery, first-degree reckless endangerment, risk of injury to a child, second-degree assault, conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery and conspiracy to commit second-degree assault.

Guzda told Patch that on March 8, shortly before 4 p.m., the victim arrived at work at Stamford Hospital and was confronted by his ex-girlfriend, Davis, who was in a vehicle with her boyfriend and the child. Davis reportedly wanted a set of car keys on the victim, saying she had a right to the vehicle the former couple had shared.

Eyewitness accounts and video surveillance confirm that when the victim refused to surrender those keys, the boyfriend began to beat him up and, when he was on the ground, that Davis began kicking him, according to Guzda.

The pair left him on the ground and took the victim's keys, Guzda said. The victim's house keys were on the same key chain, and he rose and approached Davis' car, Guzda said. While he was partially inside it, Davis reportedly drove off, throwing her ex from the vehicle, whereupon he broke his jaw, Guzda said.

The Connecticut Department of Children and Families assisted in serving the police department's warrant in order to look after the child's welfare, Guzda said.
