Second Stamford Teen Surrenders on Greenwich Burglary Charges

Greenwich Police say a quartet of juveniles and young adults burglarized a Doubling Road residence.

Greenwich Police say "crystal clear video" from a home surveillance system helped to identify a quartet of young adults and teens believed to be responsible for the Oct. 1 burglary of a  mid-country residence.

According to spokesman Lt. Kraig Gray, a second suspect in the theft of sporting goods, toys and lawn equipment from the Doubling Road home surrendered Dec. 4 to Greenwich Police who obtained an arrest warrant. "There was crystal clear video and they were identified," Gray said.

Apparently the four showed up uninvited at a party at the home and were asked to leave, Gray said. They later returned, broke into the garage and stole the items, Gray said. "All will be arrested."

Michael V. Fanali, 19, of 63 Buckingham Dr., Stamford, was charged with third-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary and third-degree larceny. He was released after posting $100 bond and scheduled to appear Dec. 12 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

19, of 28 Broad Brook Ln., Stamford, surrendered Dec. 3, and faces the same charges.

According to Gray, "most of the property has been returned."
