Reward Offered for Capture of Stamford Bank Robber

The First County Bank on Hope Street has offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the party responsible for a robbery in July. 

According to police, the bank at 275 Hope Street was robbed by a black female on July 8, 2013, at approximately 9:07 a.m.

The woman is alleged to have passed a threatening note to a teller, who placed cash in a "chocolate covered pocketbook with short straps." The woman was wearing a grey hoodie, black-checkered bandana and tight-fitting gloves. She fled east on Scofield Avenue. 


Any information which leads to an arrest and conviction will be eligible for the reward. Anyone having information on this crime you are urged to call the Stamford Police Department Bureau of Criminal Investigations at 203-977-4417.
