Police Stop Vehicle In Stamford, Arrest Driver On Outstanding Warrant

Alejendra Soriano, 31, Stamford, was arrested at 10:22 p.m. Sunday night and charged with possession of marijuana, forgery, illegal operation of a motor vehicle under suspension, and other vehicle-related offenses.

According to SPD, Soriano was pulled over for a failure to grant a right of way, and failed to produce a motor vehicle license.

"A tow truck driver was called to the scene...he found a small amount of marijuana in the car," SPD's Sgt. Vacarro said.

An officer arrested Soriano, and later discovered that she had outstanding warrants for failure to appear. When she was booked, she gave a fake name, and second degree forgery was added to her list of charges.

Deborah Acosta, 34, Stamford, was arrested Sunday and charged with creating a public disturbance, criminal trespass, and resisting an officer.

Serina Dejesus, 21, Stamford, was arrested Monday morning and charged with second degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Deandre Walley, 19, Stamford, was arrested Sunday and charged with possession of a controlled substance.
