Police Pursuing Suspect in South End Shooting [Updated]

The suspect is driving a red Jeep with a black top, according to police.

"Shots were fired from a vehicle into a group loitering and someone from the group fired back at the vehicle occupant on Woodland Place," Chief Jon Fontneau told Patch. 

Investigators are currently at the scene of the incident, according to Fontneau, but he declined to provide additional details.

Police are searching for a suspect in connection to a shooting on the South End of Stamford that occurred on Tuesday at around 7:20 p.m., according to a hotline alert issued by the Greenwich Police Department. 

The department is reporting that the suspect is driving a red Jeep with a black top, which has either a North Carolina or South Carolina license plate, and that the individual is “wanted for a shooting in Stamford.”
