Police Pursue Drug Suspect Through Downtown Stamford

The Stamford Police Department have arrested Benjamin Lee Sutton, 28, following a hot pursuit that ended when Lee collided with a curb at W. Main and Tresser Blvd.

Police have arrested Stamford's Benjamin Lee Sutton Thursday morning and charged him with assaulting an officer, possession of over four oz. of marijuana, reckless operation, evading responsibility, and engaging police in pursuit.

"Narcotics and organized crime officers were on patrol in Rose Park when they spotted suspicious activity," Stamford Police Department's Cpt. Richard Conklin said. According to SPD, Sutton, whose address is listed as 45 Taff Ave., was inside of his mother's 2008 Honda Accord when police noticed several people 'coming and going' from the car, and eventually these people noticed that narcotics officers were in the vicinity.

Cpt. Conklin remarked that Rose Park has been a location where various illegal activities have taken place recently.
