An intoxicated, 44-year-old man swerved his pickup over the double yellow line and failed to use his turn signal at about 6:30 p.m. Friday on the Post Road, police said.

Jacek Pieszkin of Stamford was driving in the area of the Post Road and Old Kings Highway South when police received a report at 6:28 p.m. Friday about a Chevy Silverado pickup truck swerving in the roadway.
A responding officer spotted the 2000 Silverado traveling west on the Post Road. The vehicle traveled over the double yellow line into the oncoming lane, then turned right onto Dickinson Road without signaling, then stop.
Pieszkin, of Lenox Avenue in Stamford, failed field sobriety tests and was arrested on charges of driving while under the influence, failure to drive right and failure to signal when turning. He posted a $250 bond and is scheduled to appear March 11 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
