Police: Four Stamford Men Face Weapons Charges After Dumping Gun
The four men, all between the ages of 19 and 20, face charges after police allege a gun was dumped from the vehicle during a short pursuit.
Police charged four Stamford men with weapons charges after one of them dumped a gun during a short pursuit near Cove Island Park, police said Monday.
Authorities said around 10 p.m. Friday evening, they observed a white BMW with heavy tint driving in the area of Cove Island Park, a popular hangout spot for teens and young adults.

Police said they witnessed the vehicle being driven erratically by the suspect later identified as 19-year-old Ian Zachary Evans, of Jordan Ln. Two plain clothes narcotics officers began tailing the suspects and made the decision to conduct a motor vehicle stop.
When the officers attempted to bring the vehicle to a stop, authorities allege the vehicle took off, pulled over to allow an item to be discarded. It then took off again, blowing through a few stop signs before coming to a stop approximately a half-mile from the park and a quarter-mile from where the vehicle pulled over briefly.

Officers asking Evans to step out of the car said he resisted, and a struggle ensued until Evans could be cuffed.
Officers responding to the location of the initial, brief stop recovered a loaded 22-caliber revolver police said was thrown from the window. Since none of the passengers laid claim to the weapon, police said all members of the vehicle will face weapons charges.
Evans faces charges of criminal possession of a weapon, conspiracy to commit a crime while possessing a firearm, illegal possession of a weapon while in a motor vehicle, conspiracy to commit a crime 29-38, engaging officers in pursuit, resisting arrest and failure to maintain proper tinted glass requirements.
The three other passengers in the vehicle face the following charges.
Saquail Christopher Glover, 20, of Warren St., was charged with illegal possession of a weapon while in a motor vehicle, conspiracy to commit a crime 29-38, conspiracy to commit a crime 29-35 and illegal possession of a pistol without a permit.

A Stamford woman shopping at a Walmart in Norwalk reported being stalked by an aquaintance, allegedly witnessed by police themselves when the woman drove to the police station with the accused following her.
Police said Laurie Marie Pensiero, 46, of Barmore Dr. W., has a previous history of complaints against her for stalking the alleged victim in the case. The two reportedly had a prior history, both professional and friendly.
Authorities said the victim previously employed Pensiero's daycare services, then continued a friendship with her even after discontinuing the services. At some point, the friendship ended and the victim asked Pensiero to no longer contact her, police said.
Pensiero allegedly followed the victim after what police called a "chance encounter" at the Walmart into the parking lot and then along I-95, at which point the victim contacted police and was instructed to drive directly to the police station, authorities said.
It was here that police said an officer witnessed Pensiero smiling and waving at the victim as the victim pulled into the station lot and Pensiero passed by.
Pensiero was arrested at her residence and charged with stalking.
