Police: Bank Robbery Suspect Claimed to Have 2 Bombs

The man was given approximately $1,000 before taking off from the scene, according to authorities.

At approximately 9:37 a.m. on Friday, a man entered the Citizen's Bank on Atlantic St. and slid a note to the teller demanding money, Lt. Diedrich Hohn said.

The note claimed the suspect hads two bombs on his person, though police said none were visibile. The man was given approximately $1,000, at which point he fled north on foot Atlantic St.

The suspect is still at large. Anyone with information on the identity of the suspect is urged to contact Stamford Police BCI at 203-977-4417.
