NY Men Charged in September Stamford Assault

The men face charges stemming from an incident in which several people attacked one man—until the victim turned the tables and pulled out a gun.

Two New York men were charged Wednesday afternoon in the beating of a man as he left a nightclub with a woman in late September, police announced Thursday.

According to police, the victim in the September 23 incident was leaving a nightclub with a female acquaintance he'd met that evening when approximately half-a-dozen men allegedly attacked the victim.

Police said the victim pulled a gun he had a legal permit to carry when he felt himself beginning to lose consciousness during the beating, and fired several times at the group, striking two men.
