Norwalk Woman Arrested for Embezzling from Stamford Store

A 33-year-old Norwalk woman was arrested by Stamford police Tuesday after she was caught embezzling money from her Stamford-based employer.

According Sgt. Peter diSpagna, the owners of Fox's Offprice Ladies Designer Clothing, a retail clothing store at 1121 High Ridge Road, contacted the in November after they caught one of their employers on close circuit video making cash refunds without the presence of customers.

Officers arrested Sarina Olson of 23 Gregory Boulevard on Nov. 27 and charged her with third-degree forgery and fifth-degree larceny. After doing some additional auditing, diSpagna said, the owners discovered that Olsen also made 112 unauthorized merchandise returns totaling just under $11,000. Sgt. Andrew Gallagher contacted 75 customers, who confirmed that they never received any money for the returns Olsen made.

Sgt. Gallagher informed Olsen Tuesday that there was a warrant out for her arrest and she turned herself in. She charged with second-degree larceny (embezzlement) and 74 counts of third-degree forgery and released on PTA. She is due to appear in court on March 15.

Evelyn Alvarez, 28, of 135 Fourth Street, Stamford, was arrested Tuesday for risk of injury to a child, third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace.

Mario Arriaza, 37, of 49 Oak Street, Port Chester, NY, was arrested Tuesday for second-degree breach of peace, resisting arrest and third-degree criminal trespassing.

Frady Bonilla-Lazo, 27, of 59 Fairfield Ave., Norwalk, was arrested Wednesday for illegal operation of a motor vehicle under suspension and improper rear/marker lamps.

Suzie Desronvil, 44, of 109 Tresser Blvd., Stamford, was arrested Tuesday for risk of injury to a child, disorderly conduct and third-degree assault.

Eulalio Figueroa-Meza, 29, of 85 Stephen Street, Stamford, was arrested Tuesday for improper turn/stop-no signal, defective windshield/wiper, violation of a motor vehicle license and failure to register a commercial motor vehicle.

Jeffrey Jordan, 51, of 507 Hegeman Ave., Brooklyn, NY, was arrested Tuesday for violation of a protective order and second-degree threatening.

Christopher Pia, 30, of 154 Cold Spring Road, Stamford, was arrested Tuesday for violation of probation.

Mario Quinteros, 18, of 110 Courtland Circle, Stamford, was arrested Tuesday for third-degree criminal trespassing.

Sharon Rotunda, 43, of 49 Plymouth Road, Stamford, was arrested Tuesday for sixth-degree larceny.

Kareem Ruffin, 18, of 1 Lawn Avenue, Stamford, was arrested Tuesday for failure to appear in court in the first degree and failure to appear in court in the second degree.
