Norwalk Man Strikes Girlfriend After Bungalow Night Club Dispute

Norwalk's Bryan Sanchez, 22, has been arrested in Stamford for allegedly striking his girlfriend during an argument outside of the Bungalow Nightclub.

While the situation began at the Bungalow Nightclub, located at 184 Summer St., the actual arrest occured 2:52 a.m. Sunday morning at 118 Summer St., according to Sgt. Robert Shawinsky of the Stamford Police Department.

"Mr. Sanchez and his girlfriend, who was visiting from Mexico, went to dance at the Bungalow Lounge. An unknown male asked Sanchez's girlfriend to dance, and an argument ensued between the couple," Shawinsky said.

"Upon leaving Bungalow, the argument between Sanchez and his girlfriend escalated until he snatched her cell phone out of her hand and slapped her, causing her to fall to the ground."

SPD's arrest report of the incident states that a bystander called police, and that the victim, whose name has not been released, went to a safehouse.

Sanchez was arrested at the scene and will appear in court on Monday.
