Norwalk Man Robbed, Assaulted in Stamford Hotel Room

The victim was reportedly assaulted and had some electronics stolen from him.

A man reported to Stamford Police he'd been assaulted and robbed of some electronics Wednesday morning while staying at a room in the Motor Inn, authorities said Thursday.

According to Capt. Brian McElligott, the victim told police he heard a knock at his door at approximately 10:30 a.m. and when he went to open answer it, a white male in his mid-to-late-thirties forced the door open and began physically assaulting him.

McElligott said the victim was able to identify the assailant and police believe they should be able to take the suspect into custody in the near future. He also stated the pair didn't know each other for any significant length of time but stated the victim, from Norwalk, and the suspect were both staying at the motel at the same time.
