By the time New Canaan police arrived at the scene of a teen party in New Canaan, most of the 60 guests had fled. The party’s 19-year-old host was charged with delivery of alcohol to minors and second-degree forgery for possession of a fake ID. Police collected 30 full beers, rum, wine and about 85 empty beer cans and bottles at the scene. The twist? When they searched the house to be sure no one needed help, they found the host’s 47-year-old . She got the idea from her daughter, who suggested she hide so she “wouldn’t get in trouble.” The mother was issued an infraction for failing to halt possession of alcohol by a minor while her daughter was charge with a Class D Felony.

A woman’s Monday at Norwalk Hospital after she turned it over to a man posing as a valet parking attendant.

The 81-year-old-woman, who told police that she drove her husband to the hospital for a medical emergency, said a man approached her and said her car was too nice to be parked in the regular lot. Instead, he said, he would take it to a special lot.

He asked the woman to give him her blue valet parking ticket, and then, on a blank piece of paper, wrote “34 lot A/B” and handed it to her. She said she thought the situation was a bit curious, but the man briefly showed her his identity card.

When she left the hospital several hours later, she handed an attendant the paper she had been given and he asked her what it was. The hospital does not have a special lot.

A homeless man was Wednesday night at 9:57 p.m. outside of a convenience store in downtown Stamford for repeatedly stealing from the store and harassing pedestrians on the street.

David Park, 27, was charged with attempted theft and breach of peace for trying to steal a six-pack of beer from Stamford's Downtown Mini-Mart. The owner, who recognized Park as someone who'd stolen from the store numerous times prior, asked Park to leave when he saw Park open the cooler for beer.

Witnesses restrained Park when he would not leave, until police arrived. An SPD officer who listened to the police call stated that he'd dealt with Park "several times last week", and other officers stated that they'd had problems with Park in the past, as well.
