Mother and Son Jailed Over Bloody Household Scuffle

Stamford's Aida Reyes, 51, and Christian Klein, 22, mother and son, were arrested Monday morning after Klein alleged that his mother attacked him with a knife and Reyed alleged that her son threw a glass bottle at her head.

Adia Reyes and Christian Klein, a local mother and son according to the Stamford Police Department, were arrested Monday at 12:42 a.m. for engaging in a violent domestic dispute.

"Around midnight on the 19th, police responded to 50 Glenbrook Road to respond to a report of a female with a knife. They were met by Christian Klein, and they learned that there was an incident that took place an apartment there," SPD'd Sgt. George Moran said. "When police went to the apartment number that Klein gave them, Reyes was there with blood on her face."

Reyes claimed that she'd been struck on the head by Klein while her back was turned.

"According to Reyes, she, Klein, and friends went out to a local restaurant, where she got into a disagreement with another patron. When Klein and Reyes got home, they had a dispute as to how the situation was handled, and Reyes claimed that a glass bottle was thrown at her," Moran said.

According to Klein, Reyes was correct when she stated that he and his mother had an argument due to a dispute at the restaurant they visited earlier that evening. However, Klein claims that his mother drew a knife during that argument, so he slapped a glass bottle at her in self-defense.
