Men Try to Pull Victim out of Stamford Apartment during Attempted Robbery

A man reported an attempted robbery at an apartment complex along Cove Road Monday evening, police said Tuesday.

According to authorities, a 58-year-old man reported answering the door of his apartment to find "two black males wearing all black," both in their mid-20s, standing there. The victim said the men asked for alcohol.

The suspects then attempted to pull the man out of his apartment, police said, but the victim pulled loose during the struggle and fell to the ground, cutting his arm. When the victim fell, the two suspects reportedly ran off, police said.

The suspects reportedly ran towards St. Benedict's Church, but a canvas of the area proved fruitless. The victim declined medical attention at the scene
