Man Tells Stamford Police He Doesn't Know How He Was Stabbed

A victim with multiple puncture wounds who walked into Stamford Hospital just after 5:30 p.m. Monday told police he had no idea what happened to him or how he even got to the hospital, authorities said Tuesday.

According to police, the 22-year-old Stamford resident had puncture wounds to his upper arm and neck that required stitches to remedy. Police said doctors could not discern if the wounds were caused by a knife or some other instrument.

A friend of the victim showed up with a shirt and told police he'd been contacted with the request. Police investigated the area around the train station where the incident may have taken place, but no suspects or further evidence was discovered.

The incident remains under investigation.
