[Updated] Stamford Man Arrested With Gun on Custer Street

Stamford Police Captain Richard Conklin released this mugshot today of a man arrested Saturday on Custer St. with a gun allegedly in his possession. 

Sgt. Paul Guzda identified the suspect as Lonnie Williams, a man who "lives elsewhere but has connections to the community there." Williams was identified as a 26-year-old Atlantic St. resident by the Stamford Jail. 

Custer St. was the scene of violence recently when was gunned down during a large party on the streets there.Three friends he was walking with were also shot. , also 21, and identified as one of Darious' best friends, was also recently killed by gun violence.

This new arrest may stem from the police department was planning on conducting in the area. 

Yesterday, police released images of a they believe was used a shooting on Spruce St. they are working on connecting to Bel-Jean's death.
