Man Arrested in Connection to Stamford Bank Robbery

The suspect was arrested in Waterbury, his town of residence.

Stamford Police announced Thursday morning the arrest of a man suspected in the on Atlantic Street Friday, August 31.

According to Lt. Diedrich Hohn, Corey Midgette, 37, of Benedict St. in Waterbury, was arrested in connection to the crime.

Midgette allegedly handed a teller a note claiming he had two bombs on his person and was demanding money, police said. He was given approximately $1,000 before fleeing.

Midgette was arrested by the Waterbury PD Street Crimes Unit. He faces charges of first-degree robbery and is currently being held on $100,000 bond.
