Bullets Found Scattered in Front of Stamford Church

Officers recovered a total of 26 rounds of R.P. 9mm Luger bullets, according to Sgt. Robert Shawinsky.

 

officers were called to St. Mary's Church on Elm Street Sunday after a complainant found live ammunition scattered in front of the building and in the middle of the street, according to Sgt. Robert Shawinsky.

Officers recovered a total of 26 rounds of R.P. 9mm Luger bullets scattered throughout the roadway, Shawinsky said, which were then transported to the police department and disposed of properly.

No weapon was discovered and the owner of the ammunition is unknown, Shawinsky added.
