A juvenile was arrested on homicide charges in California on Thursday in connection with the 2008 death of according to statement released by Captain John Lynch.
The suspect, who's name has not been released, was taken into custody at 7 p.m. by Wilton Detective Christopher Isidro who was assisted by California detectives. The suspect will be extradited to Connecticut and tried in juvenile court on a second-degree manslaughter charge, according to Lynch.
First Selectman William Brennan, Chief Michael Lombardo and members of the Wilton Police Commission are scheduled to attend a press briefing Friday morning regarding the arrest.
Parisot was riding his motorized bike in a wooded area near Hickory Hill and Hillbrook roads in June 2008 when he struck a rope strung across the trail. He suffered severe injuries to his neck and body and died shortly thereafter.
Parisot's parents, Rick Parisot and Katherine Throckmorton, in June of 2009 against Glenn and Barbara Knight and their 12-year-old son. The suit alleges the then 12-year-old Knight boy's malicious activities led to Nicholas Parisot's death. According to the Connecticut Judicial Branch Web site, a trial management conference is scheduled at Superior Court in Stamford for Nov. 11 and jury selection is scheduled for Nov. 27.
