Home Invasion Robbery on Cove Road Leaves City Man Injured

Three masked males entered an apartment on Cove Road demanding money at gunpoint and injuring an elderly man.

Stamford Police are investigating a home invasion robbery that occurred on Cove Road early Tuesday morning that left one elderly man injured. 

Police responded to a call about the burglary into an occupied apartment at 85 Cove Rd., Apt. B9, at about 3:50 a.m. Tuesday, according Sgt. Paul Guzda.

Police said they spoke with the resident at the apartment who had an abrasion on his head. “He heard somebody yelling hello, at first when he got up didn’t see anybody, then he heard loud noise and three males entered his room,” Guzda told Patch

According to police, one of the robbers was armed with a handgun and demanded money.

“They roughed him up, and at one point at gunpoint one of them struck him in the head,” Guzda said. “He did have some cash in the apartment, which the three men took and they fled. We’re looking for three men, all wearing masks, but due to the traumatic nature of the event, the resident had limited information on their descriptions.”
