Gunmen Rob Stamford Bodega 2nd Time In 5 Days

Gun-toting bandits robbed a Broad Street bodega for the second time in a less than a week, according to Stamford Police.

The Star Grocery at 114 W. Broad St. was robbed by the men at about 6 p.m. July 13. "A black male put a gun to the clerk's neck while a Hispanic male stood guard at the door. An undetermined amount of cash was taken from the register," said Lt. Diedrich Hohn. The clerk was uninjured.

Hohn said one of the suspects in the July 13 heist was probably involved with the first robbery.

On July 8, a pair of men entered the store with one pointing a silver handgun. A clerk was shoved into a wall before the pair fled on foot with about $700, police had said.
