In an update issued Wednesday morning, Greenwich Police say they "have an inclination" that the missing 17-year-old Greenwich High School student may be in Stamford.

They did not provide details but added they are "fairly confident" she will be located soon.

Greenwich Police are searching for a 17-year-old girl who they say ran away Monday.
Nathalya Bey was last seen Oct. 1 at Greenwich High School. According to GPD's Special Victims Section Sgt. Mark Zuccerella, Nathalya "is a ward of DCYF and was living at Kids in Crisis," the shelter for children at 1 Salem St. in Cos Cob. She has runway previously but returned within 24 hours.
She was reported missing shortly after 3:30 p.m. Oct. 1 by Kids in Crisis.
Zuccerella said Nathalya may have gone to New York with a boy.
She is described as being 5-foot-2 weighing 125 pounds. Nathalya was last seen wearing green camouflage pants, a dark green sweatshirt and flip-flop type shoes.
