Former President of Stamford Latin Kings Sentenced on Weapon Charges
The 27-year-old was sentenced to almost 5 years in federal prison on charges of conspiring to deal in firearms, authorities announced Friday.
The U.S. Attorney's Office announced Friday the sentencing of a Stamford man—and former president of the Latin Kings—to 57 months in federal prison and 3 years of supervised release on charges of conspiring to deal in weapons.
Santos Zambrana, 27, also known as "Inca," and "Pres," on the streets, was alleged to have sold a rifle along with several 50-round magazines and one 100-round magazine to an undercover law enforcement officer, according to authorities.
Police said when they raided his home on May 12, 2011, , they found Zambrana to be in possession of a 9mm pistol, marijuana and a packaging operation, currency and the book "My Bloody Life: The Making of a Latin King."
