Man Arrested for Intimidating Witness in 2009 Homicide Case [Update]

arrested a 23-year-old man Sunday afternoon after his involvement in a vandalism incident and threats he made against a witness to the November 2009 .

According to Lt. Jim Matheny, Luis Jiminez, 23, of 258 Greenwich Ave., Stamford, was arrested by uniformed patrol officers as he left a variety store on Cove Road at approximately 12:00 pm.

Investigators, acting on information from Department of Correction sources, began the investigation into the threats in late March. Working in conjunction with the States Attorney's office, according to Matheny, investigators obtained information and submitted an arrest warrant in order to provide protection for witnesses in the homicide case.

Jiminez is charged with first-degree criminal mischief, tampering with a witness and intimidating a witness. His bond is set at $300,000 and he is scheduled to appear in court on April 15.

Arlene Antonie, 26, of 470 Well Street, Bridgeport, was arrested Saturday for failure to appear in court in the first degree.

Patricia Balle, 28, of 95 Morgan Street, Stamford, was arrested Saturday for two counts of risk of injury to a child and fifth-degree larceny.

James Jackson, 48, of 597 South Pacific Street, Stamford, was arrested Sunday for third-degree larceny.

Reginold Mills, 61, of 16 Homestead Lane, Greenwich, was arrested Sunday for creating a public disturbance and fourth-degree criminal mischief.

Edgar Morales, 35, of 18 Lee Street, Stamford, was arrested Sunday illegal operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and operating a motor vehicle without a license.

Marvin Odonez, 28, of 9 Daly Street, Stamford, was arrested Monday for improper use of marker, failure to register a commercial motor vehicle, failure to insure a private motor vehicle, criminal impersonation and illegal operation of a motor vehicle with a license class violation.

Kenny Poteau, 25, of 154 Lawn Ave., Stamford, was arrested Saturday was arrested for illegal sexual contact with victim under the age of 16 and sexual assault of a victim between the age of 13-15.

Samuel Ramirez-Hernandez, 35, of 62 Dyke Lane, was arrested Sunday for resisting arrest and illegal operation of a motor vehicle under suspension.

Thomas Uva, 30, of 1222 Shippan Ave., Stamford, was arrested Sunday for third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace.

Eldin Zapata-Herrera, 22, of 41 Hope Street, Stamford, was arrested Saturday for failure to appear in court in the second-degree.
